The Cyberabad and Hyderabad Police Commissionerate are yet to issue an official statement with regard to the violence in Kishanbagh area of Rajendranagar police limits.
Although Police Commissioners Anurag Sharma (Hyderabad) and CV Anand (Cyberabad) spoke to the media persons after visiting the troubled areas on Wednesday, they did not release any statement giving details of those injured and killed in police firing. They also remained tight lipped on the number of persons injured in stabbing incidents.
However, according to sources, three persons were killed in police firing while seven other received bullet injuries. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Shujauddin Khateeb (38), Mohammad Fareed (30) and Mohammad Wajid Ali (35). Those who sufferred bullet injuries are: Md Arif, Shaik Younus, Anwar Khan, Syed Ghouseuddin, Md Saddam, Mahmood and Md Nawaz Khan. All are residents of Arsh Mahal.
At least four persons have reportedly suffered stab injuries. They are – Shaik Sadullah, Md Khaleel, Nawazuddin and Syed Sikandar. Initially, all the injured were shifted to Premier Hospital at Nanal Nagar. However, following deterioration in their condition a few of them have been shifted to other corporate hospitals in the city.
The Rajendranagar police have reportedly registered separate cases with regard to police firing and the incidents of violence. (INN)
