Hyderabad: Expressing solidarity with the students of Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, the students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University staged a massive protest on the Campus of the University yesterday. They took out a massive rally from students’ Hostel to the entrance gate of the University at 8.30 p.m. yesterday.
The students of MANUU also decided to boycott the examinations to be conducted on Monday, the 16th of December.
President of the Students’ Union, Mr. Omer Farooq told that 12-15 hundred students participated in the protest rally. They also set ablaze the effigy of the Home Minister of India, Mr. Amit Shah. The students of MANUU demanded the Govt. of India to bear of the treatment expresses of the injured students of AMU and Jamia and also take stern action against erring police officers.
Meanwhile the police action in Jamia triggered off a wave of protests across university campuses through the night. Students protested against the police action and the CAB at :
