Police asked to make proper security arrangements for Diwali

Lucknow, October 15: District police officials have been directed to make elaborate security arrangements and remain alert in view of the festival season beginning today.

ADG law and order, Brij Lal told newspersons here that respective police officials have been asked to make proper security arrangements at crowded places like the railway and bus stations besides market places.

They have also been asked to conduct rehearsal and mock drill to deal with explosion like situation besides making pre-emptive arrangements at places where there were any problems in the past, Lal said.

The ADG also said that PAC and RAF have been made available and 20 companies of PAC has been kept in reserve to meet any eventuality.
