Police arrests woman, her husband for abducting minor girl

Hyderabad: A 5-month old girl was abducted by a gang in Shamsabad area.

Addressing a press conference, DCP of Shamsabad, Ms. V. Padma told that Huma (35), resident of Vinayak Nagar Colony got married 17 years back. She had two daughters. Her husband left her. Six years back, she came in contact with another person and got married to him. However, they did not have any children.

With the desire to have a child, they planned to adopt or kidnap a child.

Meanwhile, Huma went to her ex-husband’s house and assured him that she has come to stay. When her husband was not in the house, she escaped stealing the ornaments.

After stealing, she went to Rani’s house and told her that her daughter is waiting at the bus stand. She took her there and diverted her attention. Then she took Rani’s five-month-old daughter and ran away.

She reached Budwel and started taking care of the minor girl. In the meantime, a special team of police started search operations. It arrested Huma and her husband and got the minor girl released. They were handed over to police for taking further action.
