Police arrests two suspects in connection with SA skipper-goalkeeper Meyiwa’s murder

Two suspects have reportedly been arrested by police in connection with the murder of South Africa’s football team captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa at his pop-star girlfriend’s home.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper had been shot dead on Sunday at Kelly Khumalo’s housi in Vosloorus, Sport24 reported.

The SABC said that the two men were being held for questioning after they were arrested in Nongoma , in KwaZulu-Natal. Police in Johannesburg could not immediately confirm the arrest.

The SABC said that the suspects were nabbed following a tip-off from members of the public.

Police have offered a reward of 2,50,000 rands for any information leading to the killer’s arrest, the report added.
