New Delhi, June 11: Over two years after a minor girl was kidnapped, gang raped and murdered, the police have arrested three persons in connection with the henious crime.
The accused Arif, Riyasat and Hasrat were arrested in Khanjawala area on the outskirts of the city following a tip off.
Police said the 10-year old girl was kidnapped by the trio from the Trade Fair near Tilak Marg area of the city in February 2008. The accused took the child to an isolated place on the bank of Yamuna and rapped her and then strangulated her to death.
The mother of the victim, who hails from Bihar, had filed a missing complaint before the police in April, 2008.
A team of police got a clue about the involvement of the trio from a friend of the victim who had seen the accused forcibly taking her from the locality.
