PoK ceasefire: Attempt to ‘sabotage’ peace talks in Russia, says security expert

New Delhi: Security expert Qamar Agha on Sunday called the recent ceasefire violation by Pakistan an attempt to ‘sabotage’ the country’s possible peace talks with India during the BRICS Summit in Russia.
“It looks like Pakistan is hell bent on ceasefire violation along the LOC. These are the things which create tension between the two countries. I think it is an attempt to sabotage the possible peace talks in Russia, where both the Prime Minister’s are going to attend the BRICS meeting,” Agha told ANI here.

“Pakistan Army doesn’t want peace talks to start. It is sad and should be condemned by international communities. India has been trying to establish peace with Pakistan. Terror and negotiation cannot go together. We want overall peace in the region,” he added.

There was unprovoked firing by Pakistan at two posts at the International Border in R.S. Pura’s Arnia sector in Jammu and Kashmir rarlier today,.

The firing took place around 7:00 p.m following which the Border Security Force (BSF) retaliated back. (ANI)
