PoK blast Ten injured as bomb squad tries to defuse device

Muzaffarabad, January 27: According to Dawn News, a blast rocked PoK on Wednesday injuring ten as security forces tried to defuse the bomb.

“The bomb was planted in a casket of milk in front of a local school. The school might have been the target, we are investigating” said Chaudry Mohammad Raqeeb, a senior administrative official of the Rawalakot district of Muzaffarabad.

Though the bomb squad was called in, the device exploded while they were at work.

A senior police official while elaborating details told the media, “Ten people including three policemen and four civil defence personnel were injured. One of the injured is critical.”

Clearly referring to five other bombings that have hit the region since June of last year, the cop added, “This is the same chain of blasts taking place in Kashmir.”
