PM’s visit yields nothing, says Uttam

Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana State was a clear indication that the BJP and TRS will sail together in future, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that nothing has happened with the visit of Narendra Modi.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday along with TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, general secretary Mahesh Kumar Goud and Paidipally Ravinder Rao, Uttam alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi shed “crocodile tears” towards Dalits during his visit to the State. Both the TRS and BJP parties were in a hurry for an electoral alliance, he said. It was not correct on part of the Prime Minister to state that he lowered the prices of Urea, he opined saying that the Urea rates were not decreased on par with the decreased international oil rates.

Uttam alleged that the TRS government made the Prime Minister to launch the Mission Bhagiratha scheme only to shield their huge irregularities. The TRS did nothing with regard to Godavari waters. The TRS government made the Prime Minister to launch the schemes taken up during the previous Congress government, he alleged. Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was running ‘police raj’ in Telangana, Uttam said the BJP destroyed the LB Stadium by organizing public meeting on its premises.

There was no mention of Tribal University in the Prime Minister’s speech, he alleged saying that the Prime Minister closed his visit by telling cow story. The dalits were facing injustices in Telangana State. It was “shameful” on the part of the State government which failed to initiate action against the BJP MLA, who dishonored dalits. House arrests of Congress leaders were undemocratic. The government did not allow the people of 14 villages, which will be submerged under the Mallannasagar project. The TRS government has wasted Rs 25 crore of public money for the Prime Minister’s meeting held at Komatibanda village in Medak district. The government used RTC buses indiscriminately for Modi’s meeting, he alleged.

The TPCC leader said a Coordination Committee Meeting and farmers meeting will be held at Adilabad on August 16 and Power Point Presentation will be given on Irrigation Projects on August 17. Training camps will be conducted for party ZPTCs and MPTCs on August 28, he added. (NSS)
