Bhopal, Aug 29 : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday greeted all women in the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and said safety and security is a top priority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I extend my greetings to all women.” Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has introduced three schemes for the safety and security of women, and he has said, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ should become ‘suraksha bandhan’. We have introduced Bima(insurance) for women in Madhya Pradesh so that our women are safe for life,” Chouhan told ANI.
“We have also decided not to allow opening of new alcohol shops. Although we are allowing FDI but setting up alcohol factories in the state will not be allowed. Our sisters have to suffer due to easy availability of alcohol. We will also start awareness campaigns against drinking,”added Chouhan.
Talking about the rise in crimes against women in the state he said “Also 33 per cent reservation of women in police forces will be introduced. This will help in the curbing of crime against women.” (ANI)
