Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for successful collection of Property Tax and implementation of other welfare schemes.
Speaking after inspecting the GHMC stall at an exhibition at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday, the Prime Minister said that the methodology adopted by the GHMC for collection of Property Tax was highly appreciable. He asked other cities to find out the reasons for their failure to properly collect Property Tax. He expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the GHMC.
Earlier, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar explained the innovative schemes of GHMC to Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu. (INN)
