Betia, Oct. 27 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hit back at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his ‘ bahari’ (outsider) jibe, saying he is a representative of all the states.
“Have you ever heard that the Prime Minister is called an outsider in his own country? Is the Prime Minister of this country not a representative of all the states? Can a Prime Minister be an outsider?” Prime Minister Modi said while speaking at a rally here.
“If a Chief Minister wins his election from Patna, wouldn’t Betia (the venue of his address) be his responsibility,” he asked.
The Prime Minister further said those who were calling him an outsider just wanted a reason to reject the Rs. 1.65 lakh crore package offered by him to the state.
Prime Minister Modi also thanked people of Bihar, especially the women, for voting in large numbers in the first two phases of polling in the state. (ANI)
