New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for describing the opposition as undemocratic and alleged that the latter has forgotten the farmers who form the democracy.
“The PM talks about democracy but he has forgotten the farmers, who form the democracy,” he told ANI here.
Prime Minister Modi had yesterday criticized the Congress Party over the deadlock in Parliament, saying the opposition was conspiring to block the nation’s development.
“Beyond Lok Sabha is the ‘jan sabha’ and that is why I am expressing my views here. Some people are doing this just out of arrogance. The people will not forgive these parties for their conduct in Parliament,” he said while speaking at a public meeting in Chandigarh. (ANI)
