New Delhi, July 26 : Expressing disappointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the tenth edition of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari on Sunday questioned his tall claims of ‘zero tolerance’ and said that the former must break his silence on the corruption taking place in the present regime.
“I am very disappointed with his speech. He (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) has not uttered a single word regarding Vasundhara ji and Sushma ji. He is answerable to the Parliament, but he is not opening his mouth on the corruption issue,” Tiwari told ANI here.
“His duty is to tell people the truth and he has failed to discharge his duty. He has betrayed the nation by saying that there will be zero tolerance, now he is tolerating everything,” he added
In his Mann Ki Baat programme on All India Radio, Prime Minister Modi today expressed concern over high number of deaths on Indian roads. He said one death occurs in the country every four minutes and every life is very precious.
He said a toll free number 1033, ambulance for patients and how the victim will be treated well in the first 50 hours after the accident occur will be given priority in the proposed bill.
Prime Minister Modi also paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the Kargil war.
The Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme aims to deliver his voice to the general masses of the country since television connection is still not available everywhere, especially in the rural regions of remote locations. (ANI)
