Expressing concern for the people who are being held hostage in Sydney’s Martin Place Cafe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called the incident inhuman and deeply unfortunate.
“The incident in Sydney is disturbing. Such acts are inhuman and deeply unfortunate. I pray for everyone’s safety,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
Several people are being held hostage by gunmen at the Martin Place Cafe in Sydney.
According to reports, people inside the cafe have been seen holding up a black flag with Arabic writing at the window.
