Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday assured his Nepali counterpart Sushil Koirala of all possible cooperation in wake of the recent earthquake that struck the country.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to share the information.
“PM Sushil Koirala and I had a telephonic conversation. We reviewed the situation arising due to yesterday’s tremors,” he posted.
“I assured PM Koirala of all possible co-operation from our side in the wake of the earthquake,” he added.
On Tuesday, Nepal was hit by an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale, which was followed by a number of aftershocks, including one that measured 5.6 on the Richter scale, resulting in the
death of over 60 people, with thousands injured.
They occurred a fortnight after a quake had claimed over 7,000 lives and devastated the Himalayan nation. (ANI)
