New Delhi, November 28: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today greeted the nation the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha which will be celebrated across the country tomorrow.
In his message, Singh said the festival is a celebration of the spirit of sacrifice and brotherhood.
“On the occasion, I convey my best wishes to the people and hope that the spirit of selfless giving symbolise by the Id-ul-Zuha unites all Indians,” Singh said.
Sonia Gandhi’s Eid greetings
New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today greeted the people of the country on the eve of Id-ul-Zuha saying it symbolises the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.
“Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) symbolises the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim. It is celebrated with great rejoice, fervour and gaiety throughout the world,” she said in her message.
Gandhi said, “I send my warm greetings and good wishes”.
