Bengaluru: Scare of plastic rice, egg and sugar has created panic among the residents of Karnataka after two different incidents of plastic rice and sugar came to light in last two days.
As reported by Dailyhunt, Shivakumar a railway employee lodged a complaint against a kirana shop owner on old bus stand road in Hasan city, over mixing the plastic crystals with sugar. Acting upon the complaint, district incharge minister Arakalagod Manju visited the shop. Sugar sample has also been sent for lab tests.
In a similar incident, complaint of plastic rice has been reported from Maddur taluk of Mandya district. Krishna a local resident lodged a complaint alleging that due to the plastic mixed rice he and his family members faced severe health issues. A probe has been launched by Maddur taluk administration in this regard.
