(Siasat News) A.P. State Minorities Commission has decided to nominate retired judges, retired IAS Officers and other Civil servants to the consultative committees at District level. The persons who offer constructive suggestions will be included in these committees. A decision was taken in the meeting of the Minorities Commission held yesterday under chairmanship of Mr. Abid Rasool Khan.
Briefing the newsmen after the meeting, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan told that the commission reviewed the implementation of 15 point program of the P.M. It was notice that the subordinate officers of the districts are neglecting the instructions issued by the Chief Secretary for implementing these programs as a result of which the amounts allocated are not being spent fully. The Chairman expressed his concern on the reports given by various District Collectors and told that the officials are not serious about the implementation of the programs. As per the guidelines of this scheme all the Ministries and Departments are bound to spend 15% of their budget on the welfare of Minorities. The members of the commission reviewed the complaints filed by various victims and made some decisions.
