The Planning Commission has sanctioned Rs 300 crores to Andhra Pradesh for the Bio Diversity Conference to be held here in next month. This was informed to the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy by the Planning Commission, an official release said here today. The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia. It may be recalled that the state government is spending Rs 450 crore for this prestigious conference. Delegates from about 190 countries and Heads of Governments and Ministers from various countries are likely to participate in the conference, the release added. UNI
