Planning and counseling inevitable for education

Hyderabad, April 15 (Siasat News): In today’s competitive scenario, counseling and career planning are inevitable for the good education as it helps the students gain their educational targets.

In this connection, a career lecture programme was held with the title “What to do after SSC” at Siasat’s Golden Jubilee Hall presided over by Mr. Ahmed Basheeruddin Farooqi (retd. DEO).

In his address, he said that there are a number of courses available but it is very difficult to decide to adopt any particular course in a very short time. He suggested the students and the parents as well that the selection of the course should be left to the discretion of the students according to his/her tendency.

Mr. Abdul Lateef poured light on the details of the vocational courses and said 80% students get traditional education and most of them failed to take maximum advantage. On the other hand, when a professional course is taken, any student can pursue a good earning career out of the said professional course.

Mr. Taher Faraz, secretary Creative Education Society said that there are 60 various courses available after SSC which he cannot cover in this brief meeting or space but was keen to present the details of the five groups related to intermediate, paramedical courses and the technical courses related to ITI.

He also emphasized to learn about the tendency of the students and guide them accordingly.

Renowned career councilor M A Hameed also delivered a long lecture on the above said topic where he categorically said that students should be very careful about selection of the course and the college, the changing trends in the field of education.

Earlier, the programme was commenced with the Qir’at of Hafiz Waseem. With Maulvi Inamul Haque Qadri’s vote of thanks, the programme was concluded.
