Some venomous minds with planned conspiracy have distorted the name of Ziaguda area and changed it into Jiyaguda. This name has become common and also written like that. But as all the fingers are not alike, we can see Ziaguda written on the boards of many shops owned by non- Muslims.
There is a grave of a Muslim saint in a graveyard near Ziaguda Kamela. The graveyard has its record in the Waqf gazette but nearly all the graves have been demolished; only a big ‘mazar’ remains whose existence is also in risk.
The place is surrounded by non Muslim population and a temple has been constructed, only at a distance of 20 feet, which is obviously on Waqf land. This has not cropped up in a jiffy but gradually took the form of temple.
Initially a stone was placed there, then saffron colour was sprinkled on that, and then came the flowers and photo of a deity; and in no time it took the form of a temple.
Readers can see themselves by looking at the photograph that the ‘mazar shareef’ has been hidden from view by constructing the temple in the front. Do the police officials under whose limits the temple was constructed did not know that this mischief was being done at the place?
Overlooking such type of incidences can disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city and there are no two opinions that most of such problems are emerging due to the negligence of Waqf board.
