Kolkata, March 23: A Dubai-Manila Emirates flight made an emergency landing here today for medical treatment of a foreigner woman passenger who died at a city nursing home hours later, airport sources said.
The flight, which was not scheduled to land here, requested the Air Traffic Control for an emergency landing, as 41-year-old Udah Kaisia Hasin, complained of chest pain mid-air, they said.
After landing at the NSC Bose International Airport here in the afternoon, she was taken to a city nursing home where she died at about 9 pm, they said.
The plane had resumed its onward journey after Hasin, whose nationality was not known, was taken out of the aircraft.
