Plane catches fire after colliding with another aircraft at Indiana airport

Marion: In an accident which took place at a northeastern Indiana Airport, two planes collided. One of the two planes crashed and caught fire.

According to the report published in Khaleej Times, the plane which crashed while taking off the runway clipped another aircraft which was landing. In the incident, 31-year-old Kyle Hibst, the pilot of the plane and David Wittkamper (31), passenger were killed.

It is also reported that they were the members of the Pipe Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department.

It may be mentioned that Kyle Hibst and David Wittkamper were travelling in a smaller Cessna 150 plane which collided with larger Cessna 525 Citation Jet.

On the other hand, passengers on the larger plane suffered no injuries.

Reacting to the accident, Federal Aviation Administration said that it will investigate the incident.
