Plan to auction Government lands in Hyderabad and RR District

Govt. of Telangana has decided to auction Government lands in Hyderabad and RR districts in order to strengthen State Economy. It is reported that Revenue Department and other Department have completed the task of identifying Govt. lands in Hyderabad and RR districts. Govt. propose to collect Rs. 14000 crore revenue by selling these lands. It is reported that there are 1743 Govt. lands in Hyderabad measuring an area of 417 acres consisting of 363 properties. In Ranga Reddy District, 259 properties have been identified admeasuring 851 acres.

It is understood that CM of Telangana State, Mr. KCR has issues instruction to District Collectors and other Revenue officials to erect Govt. boards on the lands to be auctioned and also to prepare a list of non-controversial Govt. lands. It is expected that may get Rs. 7852 crore from Hyderabad and Rs. 5105 crore from RR District. The minimum area of a property in Hyderabad measures 200 sq. yards whereas other properties are of larger areas. There are 2 or 3 properties whose areas are more than 2 acres. Govt. has identified lands in Serilingampalli, Saroor Nagar and Rajinder Nagar. Govt. have also identified 12470 acres of land in the entire state to be auctioned. The income generated by selling these lands would be utilized for the public welfare schemes.
