Hyderabad, January 20: When the TDP government in the state, had planned to promote tourist activities in Hyderabad, it had prepared a project report by the famous experts.
At that time, a consultant company of Allahabad, after reviewing the historical background of the old city, had presented a comprehensive plan to promote Charminar area. As part of the plan it had proposed to promote Lad Bazaar as “Night Bazaar” to attract tourists on large scale. But thanks to the communal bigotry of bureaucrats the plan to transform Lad Bazaar into night bazaar remained an unfulfilled dream however a ‘Night Bazaar’ project has been finished in Shilparamam.
Much commotion would not have been required to transform Lad bazaar into night bazaar because it already gleams in the night. However some bureaucrats are so much prejudiced against some community that they throw cold water on such government plans, because of which, the economy of a particular community may get strengthened.
Had the plan of promoting Charminar been implemented, it would have not only promoted economic activities in the area but the government would also have got whopping revenue in the form of taxes.
