Plan to distribute KCR Kits: CS tells Collectors

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed district collectors to put in place adequate number of KCR Kits to be distributed among the women on delivery at various hospitals of the government. Singh conducted a video conference from Secretariat here and instructed that the Collectors should take all necessary measures to appoint adequate number of doctors, staff and para medical staff for offering better services. Since the government is implementing “KCR Kits” program in a prestigious manner, the collectors should focus special attention and monitor on regular basis, he said. He explained about KCR Kits software showing it through a power point presentation on the KCR Kits and their use and purpose .The government will handover in four installments to women on delivery Rs 12000 per male child and Rs 13000 per female child. The amoung will be deposited into the accounts of the women through Aadhar and bank accounts Singh said adding that necessary account numbers should be opened for the purpose. So far, 1,80,000 pregnant women registered and the number may increase by 20 to 30 per cent in two to three months. Keeping their number in view the Collectors should sensitise the doctors and staff in government hospitals, area hospitals and primary helathcenters for the purpose. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the “KCR Kits” on June 2 in Hyderabad and Ministers and MLAs concerned in districts he said. (NSS)
