Mumbai, January 13: THIS IS IT, Michael Jackson’s concert film and one of the biggest blockbuster of 2009 is all set to air exclusively on PIX -the premium English movie channel from Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd. Terms of the deal have not yet been announced but the channel will be able to broadcast the film.
The movie is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London just before his death. The film has been nominated as the best documentary feature film for the Critics Choice Award. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing; the film has reached $222.6 million in box office receipts worldwide.

Pix is making a conscious effort to showcase the best of Hollywood and it will have a mixture of good blockbusters and other world cinema movies that are not that commonly available. PIX has gone a step ahead with its support of social causes and will showcase more movies to create awareness of pressing social issues. “Young Hollywood” is the theme for the year and the channel is soon kick starting promotions for the anti drug campaign across India.
