HYDERABAD: Pista House has been officially invited at the Thailand Food Exhibition ‘THAIFEX 2017’ to be held in Bangkok to exhibit the Hyderabad delicacy Haleem, by the European Union’s International Cooperation Department EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). The exhibition will be held from May 31 to June 5.
The Central government has given Geographical Indication (GI) status to Hyderabadi Haleem. Sweet Haleem, containing honey as one of its ingredients will also be introduced this year said the management of Pista House.
Mohammed Abdul Majeed, Chief executive officer of Pista House will speak about the success story of Pista House’s Hyderabadi Haleem and will also be representing the brand at the Thaifex 2017.
Abdul Mohsi and Abdul Mohaddis, Directors of Pista House in a joint statement said, “Pista House is the only processed meat manufacturer to participate in Thaifex 2017 from India. All the expenses are borne by the EU. This is a rare honour for us and a great recognition.”
Earlier the Chief Executive told media about its plans to expand the brand’s Haleem in other states as well as districts like Bangalore, Chennai, Vijayawada, Kadapa, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, and Khammam. He also said this year, the brand has tied up with Swiggy the online food service provider and also with www.iftarparty.com for the online supply of Haleem at Iftar, Times of India reported.
