Hyderabad, June 19: People gheraoed former Minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Banswada Pocharam Srinivas Reddy demanding the immediate implementation of the promises made by his party before the elections at Satyanarayanapuram in Varni mandal headquarter on Thursday.
The residents of Satyanarayanapuram demanded him to take initiative to fulfil the promises of distribution of one set of colour television and sanction of a house worth Rs.1 lakh free of cost and Rs.2,000 per month to each white ration card holding family.
They argued that they had cast the vote in favour of the TDP hoping that the promises would be fulfilled.
They insisted on a reply from the Banswada MLA when he arrived at the Varni town to open a milk dairy. When they refused to heed the police rounded up 42 persons.
