Pinki shifted to city-based B R Singh Hospital

Kolkata, January 24: Asian Games gold medalist Pinki Pramanik, who was injured in a road accident near Purulia, was today shifted to city-based B R Singh Hospital.

According to coach of the West Bengal Athletic Association Ashish Sengupta, Pinki’s condition was out of danger as the athlete was able to move today.

But the condition of her father, Durgacharan Pramanik, is still “very critical” and is being treated at the Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur.

“She has sustained deep cuts on her forehead, eyebrow, jaw and knees, for which she underwent stitches. She had a light walk today and her condition is not dangerous. She has been admitted at the Intensive Therapy Unit,” Sengupta told PTI.

“But she is having terrible back pain. X-ray would be done tomorrow and doctors would tell us the exact status.
