Pink colour dominates Telangana BIE’s new logo

Pink, the official colour of ruling TRS, made its way into the official logo of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education.

The logo, which was unveiled by Education Minister G Jadagidsh Reddy on Monday, looks different from the official emblem of Telangana Government. While the Telangana State’s emblem consists of the Kakatiya Toranam and Charminar with Sarnath Lion Capital, only Kakatiya Toranam has been retained in the BIE’s logo. Further, the BIE has completely removed Urdu from its logo.

The floral design around the logo has been coloured in pink and the BIE claimed that it represents the “Bathukamma Festival – The Spirit of Telangana.” Interestingly, an open book and a rising sun too has been painted in pink colour on the centre of the logo. This is probably for the first time that a rising sun has been depicted in pink colour.

On the either sides of the Kakatiya Toranam are leaves starting from the book which were given green colour. However, it is the pink colour that dominates the entire logo.

The BIE’s new logo is likely to create controversy as it missed both the Charminar and the Urdu language. (INN)
