Pilgrims of TS & AP facing hardship in Makkah

Hyderabad: Pilgrims of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states are not getting facilities promised to them at Makkah Mukarrama. Several pilgrims contacted Siasat and complained about the failure of Indian Hajj Mission and negligence of Khadim ul Hujjaj.

Departure of pilgrims began on August 21, but they were not provided SIM cards yet which were promised to them after reaching Saudi Arabia. No one including Indian Hajj Mission, Muallim, Khadim ul Hujjaj are in a position to inform when the SIM cards will be issued. Some local Bengali workers are exploiting the situation and are selling SIM cards worth 10 Riyals at 70 to 90 Riyals.

On the other hand pilgrims complained that they were not been guided in performing Umrah. First timers and elderly pilgrims had a tough time performing rituals. Due to lack of guidance several pilgrims returned without performing Umrah while some are in the state of Ihram for three days waiting for Khadim ul Hujjaj to take them for Umrah.
