Mr. Syed Mahmood Ali president administrative committee Masjid Devdi Kalyani has appealed the High Court to direct Waqf Board, SHO Moghal Pura PS and GHMC officials to take action against unauthorized occupants who have illegally occupied the land of part of the mosque and dargah.
He said that no action has been taken by the concerned authorities even after submitting the report by Task Force Officer of the Waqf Board.
The said mosque, maqbira and graveyard exist for 400 years and is a registered waqf property. He said that Waqf Board is bound to protect the waqf properties but it has not expressed any interest in the matter of protection of the said Waqf property.
Accepting the Public Interest Litigation, the division bench of the High Court has issued notices to the concerned parties seeking reply within two weeks. This petition has been filed against AP Waqf board, GHMC, SHO Moghal Pura PS and six others.
