Jennifer Lynch seems to be in no mood to spare anyone responsible for the disastrous fate her film Hisss met with, including the film’s lead actress Mallika Sherawat.
According to reports, Lynch alleged that the film bombed at the box office because of intervention by Sherawat and her producer brother Vikram. The allegations were filmed in a documentary highlighting behind-the-scenes segments of the film. The documentary also shows how the film’s story deviated from the original as thought of by Lynch.
Hisss was Mallika Sherawat’s ticket to Hollywood but failed to fly as per her expectations. Reports say that Lynch has also used abusive language against Mallika which can be seen in a documentary of the film.
“Mallika is a piece of shit with a Pamela Anderson shirt,” says Lynch.
The official website of the documentary, ‘Despite The Gods’, mocks at the system of movie making in Bollywood. It also states that there is a good reason why Hollywood and Bollywood have never blended like this before.
It reads: “The more they plan, the more the Gods laugh. The more they try to lock things down, the more they seem to shift; locations, cast, scripts are constantly rotated, re-invented and improvised depending on what the Indian day brings. A cyclone, strikes and superstitious crew don’t do much to help. All differences, apparent and invisible, personal and professional are brought to the surface.”
“Surrounded by a team of truly wonderful Indian crew, her twelve-year-old daughter, and a cast of Bollywood stars, she does her best to stay sane and guide the production through a minefield of disasters,” it says.
Commenting on Bollywood-Hollywood movie making the makers of the documentary says that “chaos is the process and filmmaking doubles as a crash course in acceptance and self-realization.”
