Photography competitions in AP, Sept. 15 last date for submission of entries

Andhra Pradesh Information & Public Relations Department is conducting State-Level Photography Competitions on the occasion of “World Photography Day, 2016 in the following themes/concepts, Commissioner S. Venkateswar has said.

Category 1: Krishna Pushkaralu; Vanam-Manam and Pavitra Sangamam. Category 2: Chandranna Bheema; Women empowerment and Tourism in Andhra Pradesh. Category 3: Best News Picture of Andhra Pradesh.

Awards and prizes in each Category are: First Prize Rs 20,000; second prize Rs 15,000; third prize : Rs 10,000. Consolation prize Rs 5,000 each (10 in each category). The entries should be of (8’x12’) or (10’x12’) size in colour. Each participant may send a maximum of five entries only in each theme/concept and should write full details of the photographer name, address, mobile/telephone number, concept/theme, self declaration and title/caption on the back side of each entry. Photos taken/exposed after Aug.2015 within Andhra Pradesh are only eligible for competition. Entries for the Best News Picture of AP should be published in any daily/ Journal of Andhra Pradesh, such details should be clearly mentioned on the backside of photo along with printed clippings. Digital mixing/Computer mixing photos are not eligible for competition. Photos exhibited/participated previously in any competition will not be accepted. All Photographs submitted must be the original work of the participant. Entries sent to the competition may not be returned. The Department reserves the right to use the accepted entries for publications/ advertisements/ exhibitions taken up by the I&PR Dept.

The entries should be handed over in person or sent by post to Asst Director(MR)(M-9949351537), office of the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department, State Guest House Premises, Suryaraopeta, Vijayawada -520002, Andhra Pradesh. The last date for receipt of the entries is September 15 up to 5 pm. Entries received after the due date will not be accepted. Decision of the Jury/Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department will be final and binding and no further correspondence will be entertained. (NSS)
