Mumbai, March 21: If first timer Milind Gadagkar is to be believed, he had complete freedom to direct PHOONK 2 even though Ram Gopal Varma, the man who had made the first in the series of PHOONK, was presenting the film.
“Really, beyond giving a nod of approval to PHOONK 2 and promising to present it, there was very little involvement from Ramu during the shooting of the film. After I wrote the first draft of the film, he left it all completely to me”, states Milind who is the writer of both PHOONK and PHOONK 2, “He said that this film was my chance to make it the way I wanted. It was as simple as that. But no, it wasn’t a challenge or anything. His decision wasn’t based on a ground that now I should better his effort.”
