91 year old Aneesul Ghurba was formed in 1921 by a God-fearing person Khaja Badaruddin Chishti. Presently 80 orphans including 34 boys and 46 girls stay at Aneesul Ghurba. Out of them 70 boys and girls keep fast regularly. Gladly! Some philanthropists of the city have arranged iftar and dinner for these innocent fast-keepers. It has been learnt that some charitable persons have booked the iftar and dinner for the whole month, 15 days before the beginning of Ramadan itself. The other who wished to take part in the virtuous deed had to return disappointed. Some persons regularly arrange iftar every year.
The innocent fast-keepers are served Haleem, Biryani, Baghara Khana, Khorma and bread after iftar. Sometimes they are also served sweet dishes. During the first 13 days of Ramadan 80 bags of 25 kg rice were donated by the charitable persons. Some also donated goats.
It must be noted that Taraweeh is also offered at Aneesul Ghurba.
