Phased agitation of JAC

Joint Action Committee of State Govt. Employees, Teachers and Pensioners has decided to launch agitation programmes in phases.

Their demands include appointment of pay revision commissioner, issuing health cards, regularization of contract employees, cancellation of G.O. 177 to prevent employees from strike and other important issues.

The first phase of agitation consists of dharna programmes in front of collectorates and Revenue Divisional offices to present memoranda to be sent to State Govt. The dharna programme will be organized on 25th September.

In the second phase of agitation, three days chain hunger strike will be organized in the last week of October at district headquarters. In third phase, an appeal will be made for “Chalo Hyderabad” in the third week of November.

Mr. V.Gopal Reddy, President, Mr. S.Ananda Rao Co-President and other leaders disclosed these details of their agitation programme while talking to newsmen at Secretariat yesterday.

The leaders of the employees unions demanded the Govt. to implement pension scheme since 2004, sanction two years leave to women employee for “Child care” and grant five days additional leave to women employees.

They threatened the Govt. that in case no positive action is taken by it on these demands, the protest would be intensified.
