Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday said that the students should meet the requirements of industrial sector that would help get them employment.
Inaugurating a national workshop on “Skill Development: Opportunities and Challenges” at Jubilee Hall here, the Chief Minister said that the education institutions had the responsibility to develop skills among the students in tune with the requirements of the job market. Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu was helping to improve skills in the youth. He exhorted the youth to create employment by setting up Dairy farms and horticulture.
Stating that there were lapses in the education system, he underlined the need to rectify them.The youth in the State should be developed as most skillful force in the country. He said that so far,some two lakh jobs were provided through Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu Scheme. It was also targeted to provide 15 lakh jobs in the next three years. It was unfortunate that post graduate candidates were also competing for attender jobs.
Major Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy, Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy,Principal Secretary to CM, Binoy Kumar, Secretary to CM, K S Jawahar Reddy, Special Secretary to CM, S S Rawat and other officials were present. Mr K C Reddy, Vice Chairman, REECAP and Chairman, REEMAP welcomed. Mr K C Reddy thanked the Chief Minister for the confidence reposed in his team and said they will achieve what is expected of them.
