In protest against non-meeting of their demands by the government, Post Graduate Medical students today resorted to flash strike and boycotted emergency medical services in Osmania Hospital here. As many as 1000 students took part in the strike, demanding the government to release guidelines for their job deployment in government hospitals. The students at Gandhi Medical hospital also joined the strike from this afternoon demanding among other this, security for the staff at government hospitals. The government had given an assurance long back over the demands but failed to implement it and no option to go for strike, one of the student alleged.
According to reports, medial students at King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam also joined the strike and boycotted duties. UNI
