The Department of Library and Information Science, University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Osmania University, is offering one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Information Management (Course Code: 81) under UGC innovative program scheme.
The salient features of the course is to teach and train students in the use of latest techniques in building and maintaining Digital Libraries; Digital Library software such as DSpace, Koha, NewGenLib, Digitization procedures and techniques; Content Management Systems such as Drupal and Joomla; Use of ICT in Libraries.
According to a press release here today, the students, who have either completed their Bachelors in Library and Information Science or Masters in Library and Information Science or appearing for the examinations are eligible to apply for the course. The last date for applying for the course without late fee is May 9 and with late fee May 16. Interested candidates also can apply online on www.osmania.ac.in. (NSS)
