Vouching for a complete revamp of existing Labor Laws with a focus on labor welfare, Union Minister for Labor and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya here on Friday said that they will provide unique ID number to all the workers in the country.
Talking to press persons here he said that all the existing 16 Acts will become a uniform Act under “Shrama Suvidha” scheme. Promising to extend Provident Fund facility to construction labors and beedi workers, Dattatreya said that Bohiguda in Secunderabad will get 200 bedded hospital, medical college in Nacharam ESI Hospital premises. All the existing ITIs will be connected with Employment exchanges and Centers by updating their technologies he said. He also said that food processing and fashion technology training and special training institutions will be set up to help women get employment opportunities. Besides expanding ESI hospitals in Warangal and Ramagundam, Dattatreya said that Paidi Bheemavarama and Tirupathi will get 100 bedded hospital each. (NSS)
