A Qutub Shahi Eik-khana masjid which is also called as Jama masjid is located at Madhura Hills main road. It is recorded in waqf gazette and as per the waqf record the masjid is spread over 2188 sqyd.
A petrol pump was being constructed quite close to the masjid. The constructed work of the petrol pump being constructed on 864 sqyd land has been halted on a written compliant made by a waqf board employee. The local people and musallis have to say that the petrol pump being constructed on 864 sqyd land, is on masjid land which is also proved by the waqf record of the masjid.
It must be noted that the land is being sold at the rate of 75000 per sqyd in the area. Thus the 864 sqyd masjid land which is being used for the construction of petrol pump is worth 64 crore rupees. Sadly the valuable land of the masjid is being encroached upon effortlessly and the waqf board as usual pays no heed towards the repeated complaints.
