New Delhi, November 04: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday defended the petrol price hike, terming it a ‘compulsion’ of the central government.
‘There is a price rise, and there is no doubt that it is affecting all of us across the board. But I suppose it was (the hike) due to the central government’s compulsions,’ Dikshit told reporters Friday.
‘It is not that the government is not concerned. I think it is something we have to face with determination,’ she said.
The price of petrol was hiked by Rs.1.80 Thursday night.
