Vijayawada: Now the petrol bunks have decided to function only for 12 hours daily from 15th May onwards.
According to the news published in TOI, this decision was taken by AP Federation of Petroleum Traders (APFPT) two days back.
Federation also announced that if the dealers’ commission is not enhanced in the meeting with the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in New Delhi scheduled to be held on 9th May, the federation will observe “no purchase day” on 10th May.
Giving details on this issue, Ravi Gopala Krishna, President of APFPT explained that despite the recommendations by Apporva Chandra Committee for enhancing dealers’ commission, OMCs are delaying this issue.
He also said that according to MoU signed between OMCs and traders, OMCs had agreed to increase the dealers’ commission every six months earlier.
Petrol bunks will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from 15th May onwards, he added.
