New Delhi, June.7 (NSS): One Sudhakara Reddy, a lawyer, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court
seeking investigation on the role of the entire cabinet of the AP government in issuing 26 controversial
GOs. He stated in this petition that it was the cabinet that had taken decision on the GOs which were
issued by six ministers.
It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court on March 12 issued notices to six ministers
and eight IAS officers on the controversial GOs. CBI also started investigating about the role of these
ministers and officers.
In the present petition, Sudhakara Reddy has stated that as per Article 164(2) all the ministers
were responsible. He said the GOs pertain to allocation of lands, water and mines and argued that all
the ministers should be made responsible. He also contended that the Chief Secretary also should be
made responsible and action should be taken even on those who had implemented the GOs. While
the primary responsibility rested on the concerned minister, the entire cabinet was responsible for the
decisions, he has pointed out.
It may be mentioned here that CBI already seized the GOs which had allegedly helped Jagan in
getting investments into his companies in quid pro quo operations. (NSS)
