Petition on behalf of council for protection of civil rights, U.K to ban beef, leather import from India

London: A petition has been filed on behalf of Council for the protection of civil rights, UK and nine others to ban all imports related to beef from India.

In the wake of mob lynching and oppressing minorities, the petition talks about how beef is being used for brutal killings in India. The attacks now have been gone beyond the cow as a reason. with Junaid’s killing, it is evident that he was killed for wearing a Topi, for being a Muslim.

Demanding the compensation to the victims’ families from Indian Government, it also mentions the names of the killed people on the grounds of hate crime and religious discrimination by the right wing.

The petition also reads: “We urge issuance of urgent travel advisory against travel to India in light of lynching on suspicion of eating beef and carrying beef. The right wing terror organisations should be banned from collecting donations in USA, European Union, Canada and Great Britain.”

It further urges to put pressure on Government of India take meaningful steps to bring in stringent laws to curb mob-lynching and give justice to the victims.

“We demand that the culprits of this violence be immediately brought to the book and be given severe punishments. Peaceful demonstrations in India have not been effective in getting the government in combatting and controlling violence and hate crimes. These hate crimes and genocide may be politically beneficial to the ruling party and may result in further genocide if steps are not taken in time to control,” the petition further reads.

The petition filed demands of banning beef and all products related to it in a closing statement.
