Anticipating trouble on the occasion of Friday, the south Zone police have made elaborate security arrangements near Charminar and Makkah Masjid. Musallis will not be allowed to proceed towards Gulzar Houz which is at the northern side of the historical monument Charminar. Platoons of Rapid Action Force have also been deployed.
Deputy Commissioner Police South Zone Dr. Akun Sabharwal told that musallis will not be stopped from offering prayer at Makkah masjid but instead of proceeding towards Gulzar Houz after the prayer, the namazis will be made to move on towards Panch Mohalla and Moghalpura fire station.
DCP further told that no one will be allowed to offer Salam near Chilla Mubarak abutting Charminar. However he told that it is being mulled over to allow offering Salam later on some particular days if Friday passes off peacefully.
