Permission granted to use elephant for Bibi ka Alam

Hyderabad, November 30: According to Mr. Aliuddin Arif Mujavir Allava Bibi, Forest minister has granted permission to use elephant Rajni as part of the centuries-old tradition of taking out alam on elephant.

There was a delay in permission, since the said minister was not in the city however now the permission is granted.

Historic procession of Bibi ka Alam will be taken out on elephant Rajni on December 6, the 10th day of Moharram (Yum-e-Ashura). The elephant Rajni is owned by Nizam trust however it is looked after by the government and the expenditure incurred on it is also paid by the government.

Rajya Sabha MP Mr. M A Khan represented with the Forest minister for granting permission to use the elephant. This elephant will be passed on the routes of the procession on November 30 for rehearsal.
